Julie Lawler

Julie Lawler is an experienced leader in social policy, currently serving as the Manager of Social Policy, Strategic Policy and Legislation for the Queensland Government since September 2017. With a strong background in policy development, governance, and community engagement, Julie has managed diverse teams to address sensitive issues related to child safety and domestic family violence while collaborating with peak body partners. Previous roles include consulting for individual clients and various managerial positions in multiple government departments, focusing on improving life outcomes for Aboriginal communities and implementing innovative service reforms. Julie holds an MBA from Queensland University of Technology and additional qualifications in governance, risk management, and workplace training.
