Kris Stewart

Kris Stewart is an experienced arts and entertainment professional with a diverse portfolio of leadership roles across various organizations in Queensland. Currently serving on the Night Life Economy Commission advisory panel for the Queensland Government, Kris also holds board positions with both the Gambling Community Benefit Fund and Empire Theatres Pty Ltd. As the Chief Executive Officer of QMusic, Kris leads the state's peak body for the music industry. Additionally, Kris contributes to the Sunshine Coast Council's Arts Advisory Board and has been involved with the Queensland Conservatorium of Music and Performing Arts Connections Australia. Past roles include Artistic Director at Brisbane Powerhouse and Executive Producer for significant events such as the Brisbane Comedy Festival and the MELT Festival. Educational credentials include a Post Graduate Diploma in Performing Arts from the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts and a Certificate in Commercial Producing from the New York Commercial Theatre Institute.
