Michael Healy

Michael Healy has an extensive background in tourism and marketing, currently serving as the State Member of Parliament for Cairns and Minister for Tourism and Sport for the Queensland Government since November 2017. Prior to this role, Michael held various leadership positions at the Quicksilver Group, including Group Director of Sales & Marketing from 2004 to 2017. Michael's experience also encompasses board directorships at Tourism and Events Queensland and Tourism Tropical North Queensland. With a career spanning over two decades in the tourism industry, Michael has held roles that include General Manager Marketing at Down Under Tours Australia and Sales and Marketing Manager at Hilton Hotels & Resorts. Educationally, Michael has completed a program at the Australian Institute of Company Directors and has attended several colleges.
