Michelle Koripas

Michelle Koripas is an experienced professional in workplace health and safety, currently serving as Director for the Queensland Government since March 2022. Previously, Michelle held the position of Senior Safety Consultant at BWC Safety Pty Ltd from May 2016 to March 2022, where expertise included mentoring leaders, coaching incident investigation teams, and developing WHS strategies. Prior roles included Senior Safety Consultant at DuPont, Consultant at Prensa Pty Ltd, and positions at Queensland Rail, culminating in General Manager of Operations Health and Safety. Michelle has contributed to organisational safety culture improvements through initiatives such as the ZERO Harm plan and holds a Master's degree in Health Sciences - Ergonomics and a B.Sc. from the University of Guelph.
