Phil Joyce

Phil Joyce has extensive experience in urban planning and development assessment, currently serving as Director of Development Assessment for the Queensland Government since June 2019. Prior to this role, Phil held multiple positions at Brisbane City Council, including Team Manager for Planning Services City West and North, as well as Principal and Senior Urban Planner. Phil's career also includes roles as Associate at AKA Planning and bptw partnership, Senior Planning Officer at the London Borough of Lambeth, Principal Development Planner at Moreton Bay Regional Council, and Senior Planning Consultant at Boyer. Phil began their career as a Planning Officer with Kerry County Council. Academically, Phil holds a BSc (Hons) in City and Regional Planning and a Post Graduate Diploma in Town Planning, both from Cardiff University.
