Chris Evans is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in the energy and infrastructure sectors. Currently serving as the Executive General Manager Development and Interim Chief Executive Officer at Queensland Hydro, Chris is responsible for the development and implementation of major pumped hydro projects across Queensland. Previous positions include Program Director of Pumped Hydro Developments and General Manager of Business Development at Powerlink Queensland, where Chris established the pumped hydro energy storage function and led significant infrastructure projects. With a strong educational background, including an MBA with Distinction from the University of Canterbury and an Advanced Management Program from Melbourne Business School, Chris has demonstrated leadership in project management, stakeholder engagement, and business development throughout a diverse career in various organizations, including SunWater, EY, AECOM, Meridian Energy, URS Corporation, and Environment Canterbury.
