Neil Stevenson

Neil Stevenson has a diverse work experience in the field of sports medicine. Neil has held various roles in different organizations, including being a Sport & Exercise Medicine Physician at Wesley Orthopaedic Sport Injury Clinic since 2023. Prior to that, they served as the Chief Medical Officer at Queensland Rugby Union (Queensland Reds) starting in 2022. Neil also worked as a Sailing Doctor at Queensland Academy of Sport (QAS) in 2022.

Before that, Neil was a Clinical Lecturer at The University of Queensland starting in 2018, where they taught and conducted clinical research. Neil also gained experience as a Club Doctor at Wynnum Manly Seagulls and a Medical Officer at Sydney Swans in 2019. Furthermore, Neil served as a Sports & Exercise Medicine Registrar at Brisbane Sport & Exercise Medicine Specialists from 2018 until 2023.

Neil also had involvement with the Brisbane Broncos, initially as an Assistant Club Doctor from 2019 to 2022, and later as the Broncos Academy Doctor from 2021 to 2022. Neil additionally worked as a Sports & Exercise Medicine Registrar at SportsMed Sunshine Coast from 2020 to 2021.

Neil's earlier experience includes working as the Club Doctor for Brisbane Bullets Basketball Club from 2018 to 2020. Overall, their work experience demonstrates their expertise and commitment to sports medicine.

Neil Stevenson obtained their Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) degree from the University of Dundee, where they studied from 2005 to 2011. In 2008 to 2009, they also pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Applied Orthopedic Technology from the same institution. Stevenson furthered their education at The University of Edinburgh, where they completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Surgical Science from 2011 to 2013.
