Matt Wong

Matt Wong is an accomplished entrepreneur and local government official in the tourism and business sectors of Queenstown, New Zealand. As the Owner and Managing Director of iFLY Indoor Skydiving NZ, Matt has led a successful award-winning adventure tourism business since its establishment in 2018. In addition to this role, Matt serves as a Councillor for the Queenstown Lakes District Council and is a Board Member of the Queenstown Business Chamber of Commerce, contributing to local economic vitality. Active in fostering entrepreneurship, Matt holds trustee positions with Startup Queenstown Lakes and Film Otago Southland, as well as The Lightfoot Initiative, focused on climate change advocacy. Previous roles include General Manager positions at Glacier Southern Lakes Helicopters and i-SITE Visitor Centre, along with a career in professional photography. Matt holds a Master of Science and Bachelor of Science in Ecology and Zoology from Massey University.
