Nicki Hangsleben is an experienced executive with a strong background in business development and strategic partnerships, currently serving as the Executive Director and Founder of QUEERSPACE collective since March 2021. Prior experience includes various leadership roles at Land O'Lakes Venture37 from August 2018 to February 2021, encompassing Director of Strategic Partnerships and New Ventures, Director of Business Development, Senior Manager of Project Design and Implementation, and Acting Chief of Party for the Cooperative Development Program. Previously, Nicki held positions at Land O'Lakes International Development, Minnesota Public Radio, American Express, ING, and Minneapolis Public Schools, showcasing a diverse skill set in financial analysis, budgeting, and project management. Nicki's educational credentials include a Master of Business Administration and a Graduate Certificate in Global Business from the University of St. Thomas, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Minnesota - Carlson School of Management.

QUEERSPACE collective creates space for LGBTQ+ youth to feel safe and empowered to be their true selves. Through QUEERSPACE hangouts, our intergenerational program connecting LGBTQ+ youth with LGBTQ+ adults, youth develop increased self-esteem and a greater sense of belonging, cultural identity and pride. Our vision is for all LGBTQ+ youth to have a supportive community to help them develop a strong sense of pride in who they are, where they come from and where they want to go!
