Dr. Yezen Sammaraiee

Dr. Yezen Sammaraiee has a diverse work experience in the medical field. Dr. Yezen started their career in 2016 as an FY1 Doctor at East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust. In 2017, they worked as an FY2 Doctor at Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust and also founded Quesmed, where they served as the Chief Executive Officer. From 2017 to 2018, Dr. Sammaraiee worked as an NHS Clinical Entrepreneurship Fellow at NHS England, focusing on developing new educational technology for medical professionals. Dr. Yezen then worked as a Clinical Research Fellow at University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, where they investigated long-term efficacy and quality of life in acute stroke patients. In 2019, they became an Internal Medicine Trainee at the NHS and concurrently held the position of Honorary Clinical Research Fellow at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery. Currently, Dr. Sammaraiee is a Neurology Specialist Trainee at St George's University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

Dr. Yezen Sammaraiee began their education at UCL in 2010, where they pursued a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree in the field of medicine. During their time at UCL, they also completed a Neuroscience iBSc with First Class Honours, specifically in the area of neuroscience, from 2012 to 2013. Dr. Sammaraiee furthered their education by attending the University of Dundee in 2016, where they earned a Postgraduate Certificate (PGCERT) in Medical Education.
