Ignacio Alfonzo

Ignacio Alfonzo is a seasoned electrical engineer with extensive experience in the renewable energy sector, currently serving as a Technical Project Lead Engineer at DIS - CREADIS Engineering Solutions & Consulting since November 2018. Ignacio specializes in the design and modification of Fire Detection Systems for offshore wind turbine generators (WTGs) and leads cost optimization initiatives for HV and LV cables. Previously, Ignacio held roles at GE Renewables Offshore Wind, Vestas Onshore Service, ASAS Systems, ATM 2000, and Representaciones INGESOL C.A., focusing on electrical engineering, project management, and technical optimization across various wind turbine components and automated systems. Ignacio holds a Master in Renewable Energies and Energy Sustainability from Universitat de Barcelona and a degree in Electrical Engineering from Universidad Simón Bolívar, complemented by training in software tools such as DIgSILENT and AWS Essentials.
