Francesca Cesari is an experienced editor and researcher in the field of biological sciences, currently serving as Chief Biological Sciences Editor at Nature since February 2007. Francesca has held various editorial positions within Nature, including Senior Editor for both Nature Cell Biology and Nature Reviews Molecular Cell Biology, as well as Associate Editor (Locum) for Nature. Prior to joining Nature, Francesca worked as a Postdoctoral Research Scientist at The Wellcome Trust Gurdon Institute in Cambridge, UK, from March 2004 to March 2007, and at the University of Tübingen in Germany from June 2001 to February 2004. Francesca holds a PhD in Cell Biology from the University of Tübingen, where studies were completed from 1998 to 2001, and has also received postdoctoral training at the University of Cambridge.
