Kambez Benam

Kambez Benam, D.Phil. (Oxon), is an experienced academic and editorial professional currently serving as an Associate Editor at JCI Insight since September 2024 and as Associate Editor for Biomedical Engineering at Scientific Reports, a Nature Portfolio Journal, since November 2023. Additionally, Kambez holds the position of Associate Editor at Frontiers in Bioengineering and Biotechnology since March 2023. Kambez is also an Associate Professor at the University of Pittsburgh since January 2021 and previously served as an Assistant Professor at the University of Colorado from June 2017 to January 2021. Kambez's academic career began at Harvard University, where involvement included roles as a Technology Development Fellow, Senior Research Fellow, and Postdoctoral Research Fellow from February 2012 to May 2017. Educational background includes a DPhil in Clinical Medicine/Immunology from the University of Oxford (2007-2012) and a BSc (Hons) in Pharmacology from Newcastle University (2005-2007).
