Quicksilver Biosciences
Boyan Penkov is a Senior Scientist at Quicksilver Biosciences since September 2023, following a decade-long tenure at Columbia University where roles included Graduate Fellow, Lab Manager, Lean Launchpad Instructor, and Program Manager. As a Graduate Fellow, Boyan led a multi-university collaborative team to successfully create groundbreaking 2D superlattice biosensors and developed an extensive Python package to enhance data analysis efficiency. Previous experience includes serving as a Fabrication Engineer at Phoebus Optoelectronics and as a Nanofabrication Consultant and Research Associate at the Cornell NanoScale Science and Technology Facility. Boyan holds a PhD in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Columbia University, a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Biophysics and Technology Entrepreneurship from the University of Washington, and a BS in Applied Physics and Applied Math from Cornell University.
