Michael Ernandes

Michael Ernandes is a senior scientist at QuidelOrtho since August 2023, bringing a strong background in virology and microbial biology. Prior experience includes serving as a postdoctoral associate at IAVI from April 2021 to April 2023, and completing a PhD in virology at Harvard University from 2014 to 2019. Michael also contributed to academia as a reader at UC Berkeley and held research positions in various labs, including significant work at the National Institutes of Health and within undergraduate research roles focused on molecular genetics and virology. Throughout this career, Michael has developed expertise in experimental design, molecular techniques, and data analysis within highly regulated laboratory environments.
