João Paulo Carvalho

João Paulo Carvalho has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. In 1988, they founded Quidgest, SA and served as the Founder and Senior Partner. In 2014, they founded and became the CEO of Quidgest, SE. João Paulo Carvalho also has experience in the technical field, serving as a member of the Technical Commission for Artificial Intelligence at the Portuguese Institute of Quality - IPQ starting in 2022. Additionally, they have been involved in the educational sector, serving on the Consulting Board for both INETE - Instituto de Educação Técnica from 2018 and INDEG-ISCTE Executive Education from 2019 to 2021. João Paulo has also held positions as a Board Member for ANETIE from 2016 to 2018, a Startup Mentor for Beta-i from 2014 to 2016, and a Member of the Board of Mentors for the COHiTEC Program in 2014. Furthermore, João Paulo Carvalho has lectured at ISEG - Lisbon School of Economics & Management as a Professor Auxiliar Convidado from 2011 to 2012, and as a Lecturer at ISCTE from 1990 to 1999.

João Paulo Carvalho earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from ISEG - Lisbon School of Economics & Management, where they studied from 1977 to 1982. João Paulo then pursued further education and obtained a Master's degree in Information Systems Management from ISCTE - Instituto Universitário de Lisboa, studying from 1992 to 1994. In addition to their formal education, João Paulo Carvalho has also obtained certifications as a Mentor from Pitch Bootcamp in October 2016 and as a Genio Architect from Quidgest in January 2012.
