Matías García

Western Europe Project Director at Quimera Energy Efficiency

Matías García has worked in a variety of roles in the energy efficiency and engineering fields since 2009. In 2009, they began their career as a Project Manager at HL-Technik Engineering Partner, where they were responsible for Building Services Engineering and Design of HVAC systems and photovoltaic systems. In 2012, they moved on to become a Construction Manager at Sampol. In 2014, they worked as a Project Manager for Freelancer Engineer for HL-PP Consult. In 2015, they became a M.E.P Design Manager at Hill International, Inc., where they were responsible for the Design of the new European Investment Bank building. From 2016 to 2019, they worked as a Freelance MEP Engineer and Energy Efficiency Consultant, where they were involved in Project Coordination, Thermal, Daylight and Energy Simulations, Design and selection of HVAC systems, and Development of green building strategies for buildings. Most recently, in 2019, they became the Western Europe Project Director at Quimera Energy Efficiency.

Matías García completed their Mechanical Engineering degree from Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV) in the field of Building Engineering and Energy in 2008. During 2006-2008, they also completed an MSc Building Engineer degree from Politecnico di Milano in the field of Building Technology.
