Vishal Mahajan

Vishal Mahajan has a strong background in engineering and leadership roles. Vishal is currently serving as the Director of Engineering at Quincus. Prior to this, they worked at Uni Cards as the VP of Engineering.

From 2020 to 2022, Vishal was the Director of Engineering at Airbase, where they led product development for various verticals, including Corporate Cards, Bill Payments, and Expense Reimbursements. Vishal also led the mobile app engineering chapter.

Before this, Vishal worked at RedMart as a Senior Engineering Manager, where they led teams in developing software systems and applications for Lazada's supermarket business. Vishal was responsible for creating a Slotting app to optimize warehouse inventory management.

At Flipkart, Vishal held the role of Senior Engineering Manager, leading large-scale engineering areas such as Order Management and Customer Returns experience. Vishal successfully drove a program for upgrading the order/returns data model and API.

Prior to Flipkart, Vishal had significant experience at Zimbra and VMware. At Zimbra, they held the positions of Senior Director R&D and Director R&D, where they led global application engineering teams and scaled up the India product development org. At VMware, they served as a Manager R&D and Staff Engineer for the Zimbra India development team, and they played a key role in the transition of Zimbra BU out of VMware.

Earlier in their career, Vishal worked at Yahoo! as a Technical Lead, responsible for building the Yahoo Calendar backend. Vishal also worked at AmberPoint as a Software Developer, focusing on middleware software development, and at Sun Microsystems as a Member of Technical Staff, contributing to Java Web Services development.

Vishal Mahajan attended Manav Sthali School in New Delhi from 1989 to 1999. Vishal then pursued a Bachelor of Technology degree in Computer Science and Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi from 1999 to 2003.
