Quinnipiac University
Brooks Appelbaum is an experienced educator and theater critic with a robust background in English literature and theater. Currently serving as an instructor at Quinnipiac University since August 2007, Brooks teaches First Year Seminar and Women's and Gender Studies, alongside courses in the English and Drama Departments. As a writer and theater reviewer for BroadwayWorld.com since 2019, reviews have also appeared in prestigious publications such as The New Yorker and New Haven Magazine. In addition to co-founding the Mentor Program with the Connecticut Critics Circle, Brooks has contributed theater critiques since 2015 and previously served as a theater and film critic for Shoreline Times and New Haven Magazine. Brooks's teaching experience includes positions at Monmouth College and Indian Springs School, with a Ph.D. in English Literature from Cornell University and a B.A. from Princeton University.
