John Somers

John Somers is the Assistant Director of Recreation at Quinnipiac University, overseeing three Fitness Centers and managing a diverse team of over 80 student staff and two graduate assistants since April 2019. Prior experience includes various roles at the University of Connecticut from September 2014 to May 2019, such as Manager on Duty and Intramural Sports Manager, where skills in problem-solving, communication, and leadership were honed. Additional positions include Facilitates Operations Manager, Intramural Official, Summer Analyst Intern at Summer Street Advisors, LLC, College Financial Representative at Northwestern Mutual, General Labor Employee at Mister Softee of Connecticut, and Student Worker in Dining Services. John Somers holds a Master’s Degree in Sport Management and a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance from the University of Connecticut.
