Atharva Puranik

Atharva Puranik has extensive work experience in the software engineering field. Atharva is currently working at Quintar, Inc as a Senior Software Engineer/Team Lead for AR SDK development. In this role, they lead a team of 15 members and is responsible for the development of Android and iOS SDK and applications. Atharva has a proven track record of delivering customer requirements on time and meeting high standards. Atharva is skilled in iOS (Swift, ARKit, UIKit, SceneKit, RealityKit), Android (Java, Kotlin, ARCore, Virocore, Sceneform), and Unity (C#).

Prior to their current position, Atharva worked at STRIVR as a VR Senior Software Engineer, where they designed and implemented various features such as a health reporting client, a download window feature, and a content distribution module for Android. Atharva also worked as a VR Software Engineer ll at STRIVR.

Before joining STRIVR, Atharva worked at Intel Corporation, where they held two roles. As a VR Software Engineer for Intel Sports (TrueVR), they co-led the engineering efforts to implement a VR application for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. Atharva was involved in designing the Immersive Experience SDK architecture and implementing various core modules. Atharva also worked as a Graphics Software Engineer, where they worked on test drivers for Graphics Hardware Validation and implemented features related to Unified Return Buffer (URB) Manager and query tools.

Atharva also gained experience as a Graphics Developer Intern at Intel Corporation, where they implemented a patch replication enhancement for a tool called FiDO. Additionally, they worked as a Software Developer Intern at CallTree Pro, where they designed and developed core components of an Android application.

Earlier in their career, Atharva worked as a Math Tutor (Student Assistant & Teacher Assistant) at California State University-Sacramento, where they assisted undergraduate students and helped professors in their lectures. Atharva also worked as a Project Trainee at InfoCepts, where they worked on a project involving the analysis of energy resources in the USA through Business Intelligence. Additionally, they worked as a Project Trainee at Persistent Systems, where they contributed to the development of a massive and efficient search engine for online videos using digital image processing and Hadoop MapReduce.

Atharva Puranik completed a Software Product Management (SPM®) program from Product School in 2018. Additionally, they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Computer Technology from Yeshwantrao Chavan College of Engineering (YCCE) before 2013. Atharva then pursued a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Computer Science from California State University-Sacramento, which they completed between 2013 and 2015. In terms of certifications, Atharva obtained the Software Product Management (SPM®) Certificate from Product School in 2018. Atharva also obtained the Rational Functional Tester for Java certification from IBM in 2011. Recently, in 2022, they acquired two additional certifications: AR for iOS Developers: RealityKit and Reality Composer from LinkedIn, and Swift 5 Essential Training, also from LinkedIn.
