Brian Koch

Brian Koch is currently the Vice President of Engineering at Quintessent Inc. since December 2019. Before this role, Brian worked as the Director of Hardware Engineering at Juniper Networks from August 2016 to December 2019, where Brian led the team designing photonic devices and their fabrication processes. Prior to that, Brian was a Hardware Engineering Senior Manager at Aurrion from January 2012 to August 2016, where Brian served as the Design Engineering Manager and Senior Optoelectronic Device Engineer. Koch also has experience as an Optical Researcher at Intel from January 2008 to January 2012, focusing on photonic integrated circuits. Brian holds a Ph. D. in Electrical Engineering from UC Santa Barbara and a Bachelor of Science in Physics from William & Mary.
