Laurent Mertz

Laurent Mertz has a diverse work experience. Laurent is currently a member of the Committee at Chambre des salariés Luxembourg since March 2019. Prior to this, they held various roles at Quintet Private Bank, including Permanent Delegate and President of the Staff Delegation. Laurent also served as the Head of Settlement, Business Analyst & Website Administrator, and HR Advisor during their tenure at the bank. In addition, Laurent Mertz was the General Secretary at ALEBA - 1er Syndicat du Secteur Financier from November 2013 to March 2021, where they were responsible for communication and played a significant role in negotiating the new Collective Convention of Banks in 2018-2020.

Laurent Mertz's education history is as follows:

- From 2021 to 2022, Laurent registered for the Luxembourg's Juridical Mediators program at the Institut Européen pour le Développement des Relations Sociales (IEDRS) with a focus on mediation.

- In 2021, Laurent completed a Secouriste course on mental health at the Centre d'Information et de Prévention de la Ligue/Santé mentale Luxembourg.

- From 1996 to 1999, Laurent pursued a Graduat en Secrétariat de Direction degree at the Haute Ecole Catholique du Luxembourg "Blaise Pascal".

- In 1995, Laurent took a 1ère candidature course in gestion des ressources humaines at the Institut d'Enseignement Supérieur in Namur.

- From 1994 to 1995, Laurent enrolled in a 1ère candidature course in philologie romane at the Facultés Universitaires Notre-Dame de la Paix in Namur.

- Laurent completed a Baccalauréat in French and History at ISMA, Arlon from 1988 to 1994.
