Omar Sequera

Omar Sequera has a diverse work experience in various industries. Omar is currently the Co-founder & Co-CEO of QUIXOTIC 360, a cloud automation platform for utilities and distributed energy resources. Omar is also an Investor at Hard Choices Ventures and an Ateneísta at Ateneo de Madrid.

In the past, Omar co-founded Education Everywhere (rebranded as "Todos al Cole"), an NGO that provides education, meals, and medical checks to children in the slums of Calcutta. Omar also co-founded Calibre 360 Consulting, a consultancy firm specializing in digital transformation and IT infrastructures.

Omar worked as part of the Marketing & Communications team at Cuboh, a SaaS solution for restaurant ordering management. Prior to that, they were the Marketing Director at PayMotion, a payments startup. Omar also served as the Sales Lead in the UK and Spain for EMPAUA, a tech consultancy.

Earlier in their career, Omar held positions at Bacardi, where they led experiential marketing initiatives in Northern Europe, and Gordon Ramsay Group, where they worked as an Operations Consultant.

Omar Sequera's education history begins in 2004 when they attended Edinburgh College and pursued a degree in HNC Software Development with Management. Omar completed their studies in 2006. In 2017, Omar co-founded a company called 360 Blocks, where they worked as a researcher in their Blockchain Research Lab until 2018. During this time, they gained practical experience in blockchain technology. In 2018, Omar enrolled in the Executive Programme: Blockchain Strategy at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford.

In addition to their formal education, Omar has also obtained several certifications. In 2016, they became a Salesforce Certified Pardot Specialist. In the following year, they achieved the Salesforce Certified Administrator certification. In 2018, they completed the IBM Blockchain Essentials course offered by IBM. The same year, they also completed the Creel Price on Social Entrepreneurship program through Lynda.com. In 2019, Omar obtained a certification in Intellectual Property Law and Policy I from the University of Pennsylvania. More recently, in 2020, they obtained certifications in Indigenous Studies from the University of Alberta and Electric Utilities Fundamentals and Future from the University of Colorado.
