Austin Voecks

Austin Voecks is a skilled software engineer with extensive experience in distributed systems and software development. Currently serving as a Member of Technical Staff III at Qumulo, Austin focuses on the Global Namespace feature, having previously contributed to Qumulo Core's NFS implementation and Tier 3 Support. While concurrently holding a position as a Divemaster at PADI, Austin has also worked at Dell EMC as a Principal Software Engineer, leading projects related to data mobility and monitoring systems. The professional background includes a range of roles at organizations such as Isilon Systems and Raytheon, with expertise in API design, asynchronous programming, and performance optimization. Austin holds both a Master’s Degree and a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from Western Washington University, where also contributed as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and Research Assistant.
