Chintamani Bhagat

Chinta Bhagat serves as Chairman & Managing Partner for Asia at L Catterton, the world's largest consumer-focused private equity firm with approximately US$35 billion in assets under management. Since joining in July 2019, Bhagat has built regional teams across Japan, China, and India, while spearheading significant investments in Jio Platforms, PHC, and Thorne Healthtech, and executing notable divestments and a successful listing of Lotus Technologies. Prior to L Catterton, Bhagat was Co-head of Private Markets at Khazanah Nasional Berhad from July 2015 to June 2019, where oversight of over $6 billion and leadership in numerous high-value transactions were pivotal. Bhagat's career began at McKinsey & Company, with service as Managing Partner in Singapore, where foundational leadership in healthcare and private equity practices was established. Bhagat holds an MBA from INSEAD and an undergraduate degree from the University of Mumbai.
