Domenico Tulli

Domenico Tulli is an experienced professional in the field of photonics. Domenico began their career in 2007 as a Post Doctoral Researcher at ICFO, where they also served as a Research Engineer for a project directly financed by Corning Incorporated and a Research Engineer for a project with ABB. In 2013, they became a Postdoctoral Researcher at UC Davis ECE Department. In 2014, they began working as a Senior Photonic Engineer and Project Manager at DAS Photonics, leading a device-team of four people towards the development of advanced PICs for space and defense applications. Domenico was also the PI of several European projects in the FP7 and H2020 frames. In 2016, they became an Independent Scientific Expert at the European Commission, and in 2017 they became a Co-Founder & CTO at Quside and a Freelance Editor at Cactus Communications. During their career, they have gained experience in micro and nano fabrication techniques, numerical design and characterization of micro-structured devices, and the development of integrated electro-optic modulators and electrode-free optical sensors.

Domenico Tulli has a diverse educational background, beginning with a MSc in Telecommunications Engineering from the Università Côte d'Azur in 2006. Domenico then went on to pursue a MSc in Telecommunication Engineering from the Alma Mater Studiorum - Università di Bologna, which they obtained in 2006. In 2007, they began a PhD in Photonics at ICFO, which they completed in 2012. More recently, in 2020, they enrolled in ThePower Business School, and they are currently enrolled in an edX Professional Certificate for Silicon Photonics Design, Fabrication and Data Analysis.
