Arnold Wiliem

Arnold Wiliem is a Principal Engineer in Deep Learning - Vision Systems at Shield AI since June 2024, following the acquisition of Sentient Vision Systems, where Arnold worked from August 2019 to June 2024. Concurrently, Arnold serves as an Adjunct Associate Professor at Queensland University of Technology since July 2022. Prior to their roles at Shield AI and QUT, Arnold held various positions at The University of Queensland from 2013 to August 2022, including Adjunct Senior Fellow and UQ Amplify Fellow, managing significant computer vision projects. Arnold’s early career included roles as an Advanced Queensland Research Fellow and Research Fellow at NICTA, focusing on digital pathology systems and achieving significant advancements in the field. Arnold holds a PhD in Computer Science with a focus on Computer Vision and Image Processing from Queensland University of Technology and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of Indonesia.
