Cory Minor, CISSP

Cory Minor is a CISSP with a diverse range of work experience. Beginning in 2015, Cory worked as a Service Desk Analyst at Pomeroy until 2016. Following this, Cory served as a Cocktail Server at Kalahari Resorts & Conventions for a brief period. In 2016, Cory also worked as a Cast Member at Walt Disney World before transitioning to a role as a Service Desk Analyst Tier 1 at Pomeroy from February 2017 to October 2017. Cory then worked as a Tactical Incident Manager and Service Desk Analyst Tier 2 from October 2017 to April 2018. From May 2018 to April 2019, Cory served as an Information Systems Security Officer at Harris Corporation, gaining experience in risk management, compliance checking, and generating metric reports. Cory furthered their cybersecurity career as an Information Assurance Engineer at JANUS Research Group from July 2020 to April 2021. From April 2021 to October 2022, Cory worked as a Senior Cloud Security Engineer at AIS (Applied Information Sciences), where they focused on designing and implementing secure solutions. Currently, Cory holds the position of Lead Instructor at ThriveDX (formerly HackerU) since August 2021, where they impart their knowledge and expertise. Beginning in October 2022, Cory is set to become a Cloud Security Architect at Quzara LLC. Throughout their career, Cory has demonstrated a strong focus on cybersecurity, utilizing their technical skills and expertise to provide secure solutions and services.

Cory Minor, CISSP, holds a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Information Technology from the University of Cincinnati, which was obtained from 2015 to 2018. In addition to their degree, Cory has obtained various certifications throughout their career. They are certified as a Microsoft 365 Certified: Security Administrator Associate and a Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate, both obtained in January 2022. Cory also holds a Certificate of Achievement in Applying Assessment & Authorization (A&A) in the National Industrial Security Program, Continuous Monitoring, and Risk Management Framework Curriculum, all obtained from the Defense Security Service in October 2018. They have further certifications in IS-00100.b Introduction to Incident Command System ICS-100 from FEMA, obtained in September 2017, and Security+ CE from CompTIA, obtained in February 2018. Additionally, Cory has completed an internship with The Walt Disney Company as part of the Disney College & International Program. Most recently, they obtained the HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate certification in May 2022 and the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification from (ISC)² in April 2019.
