Steve Burmeister DNP RN-BC CNML has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Steve currently serves as the Lead Clinical Solution Architect - Perioperative at Qventus, Inc since 2022. Prior to this, they worked at ThedaCare starting in 2013, where they held multiple roles. Steve was the Nursing Education & Practice Specialist - Surgical, responsible for leading clinical practice improvement initiatives and managing education requirements for perioperative departments across seven hospitals. Steve also served as a Clinical Informatics Nurse, focusing on technology-based interventions to improve clinical efficiency and patient safety. Before joining ThedaCare, Steve worked at Meriter Hospital as an RN - Operating Room. During their time there, they collaborated on surgical cases across specialties, managed workflow as a Charge Nurse, and led a project to produce instructional videos for team members. Steve's work experience also includes working as a Practice Associate and a Patient Service Representative at ThedaCare, where they performed various medical assistant and patient registration duties.

Steve Burmeister DNP RN-BC CNML received their Bachelor of Science (BS) in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2011. Steve then pursued their Doctor of Nursing Practice degree in Health Innovation & Leadership at the University of Minnesota, completing their studies from 2017 to 2021. Alongside their formal education, Steve has obtained various certifications in healthcare management, patient safety, quality improvement, team training, and nursing informatics. Steve'scertifications include Certified Nurse Manager and Leader (CNML), Informatics Nursing Board Certification, and CAHIMS (Certified Associate in Healthcare Information Management Systems), among others.
