Claudia A. Saavedra

Claudia A. Saavedra has extensive experience in the field of lighting design. Claudia A. began their career as a Lighting Designer for HLB Lighting Design, where they worked from 2002 to 2004. Claudia A. then joined OVI as a Lighting Designer from 2004 to 2005, where they were involved in the design and construction phase of large-scale projects. Claudia also gained experience as a Volunteer at tanteri + associates in 2005, where they collaborated on a daylight research project for the renovation of the "Museo de Arte de Ponce" in Puerto Rico. In 2007, they joined SEEARCH as a Lighting Designer and worked with Thomas Thompson until 2008. From 2007 to 2013, they worked as a Senior Lighting Designer for AKF group. Claudia A.'smost recent position was as the Director of Lighting at Vanderweil Engineers, a role they have held since November 2013. Throughout their career, Claudia has demonstrated expertise in lighting design and has worked on a variety of projects, including museums, libraries, and residential buildings.

Claudia A. Saavedra has a Master's Degree in Architectural Lighting Design from Parsons The New School for Design, which they obtained in 2002. Prior to that, they also completed a Master's Degree in Architecture from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso in 1994.
