Ian Shapiro

Ian Shapiro is a transformative leader with extensive experience in international development and social enterprise. As the CEO of Reall since February 2018, Ian has demonstrated a commitment to accelerating opportunities for vulnerable populations worldwide. Currently serving on the United Nations Stakeholder Advisory Group to the Under Secretary General and as a Non-Executive Director at whg, Ian also holds a fellowship with The RSA. Previous roles include Chief Strategy Officer at Crown Agents, where Ian led global strategies to enhance health and development, and Director at the Centre for Development Results. With a background in public sector partnerships and private sector engagement from time spent at the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, as well as leadership in youth-led organizations, Ian combines a strong educational foundation with a focus on driving impactful change.
