Ahmed Elsherif, P. Eng.

Ahmed Elsherif, P. Eng., has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Ahmed started their career in 2009 as a Private Reserves in the Canadian Forces. Following that, they worked as an Office Manager at N.M Auto Sales from 2010 to 2013, where they were responsible for managing day-to-day office functions and scheduling drivers for vehicle pick-up and delivery.

In 2013, Ahmed transitioned into the engineering field, working as a Geotechnical Technician at SGS. Their responsibilities included conducting on-site soil tests and testing concrete for consistency and air content. Ahmed also performed field-level risk assessments and analyzed changes in depth in a tailings pond.

After their role at SGS, Ahmed worked as a Civil EIT at IBI Group from 2014 to 2015. Here, they gained experience in preparing grading and site servicing designs for various projects, including the Fort McMurray Family Crisis Society Center and the Rotary Residential Subdivision. Ahmed also managed the construction of the Diversified Bus Barn.

From 2015 to 2016, Ahmed served as a Civil Engineer-in-Training at R.J. Burnside and Associates Limited. In this role, they prepared grading designs and conducted stormwater quantity and quality control analysis for commercial developments throughout the Greater Toronto Area.

In 2016, Ahmed joined WSP in Canada as a Project Engineer. Ahmed gained project management experience in the aviation group, working as the owner's representative and lead design manager for various aviation infrastructure projects. Ahmed successfully delivered projects within scope, budget, and schedule, including the Airfield Rehabilitation Program at Billy Bishop Airport and the Taxiway Rehabilitation Program at Ottawa Macdonald-Cartier International Airport.

Most recently, Ahmed worked at R.V. Anderson Associates Limited as a Project Engineer from 2019 to 2020, and then as a Project Manager from 2020 onwards. Their roles included managing and overseeing projects, ensuring their successful completion.

Ahmed Elsherif, P. Eng., obtained their Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) degree in Civil Engineering from Ryerson University, from 2009 to 2013. In addition, they earned certification in "Programming Foundations: Fundamentals" from LinkedIn in January 2021.
