Melissa Pillars, CHAM, has extensive experience in patient access management, currently serving as a Patient Access Senior Manager at R1 RCM since February 2017, following a role as Patient Access Manager. Prior to this, Melissa held the position of Patient Access Manager at St. John Health System from September 2015 to February 2017. Melissa began a lengthy tenure at Hillcrest Healthcare System in June 1981, where responsibilities included Senior Supervisor, Trainer, and Educator in patient access. Melissa earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, OK, between 1983 and 1986.
