Vivekdeep Gupta

Vivekdeep Gupta is a seasoned professional in the financial technology and digital currencies sector, currently serving as the Global Head of Digital Currencies at R3 since April 2018, where responsibilities include guiding central banks in harnessing digital currencies for a modern financial system. Prior to this role, Vivekdeep Gupta held positions at R3 as Country Head for India and Head of Tech Sales for the APAC region, promoting the Corda blockchain platform. Experience also includes leading strategic initiatives at Catalyst: Inclusive Cashless Payment Partnership and consulting for the Government of Andhra Pradesh and the Government of India on economic development and skill initiatives. Vivekdeep Gupta co-founded Covrd, a fintech startup, and began a career at Tata Advanced Systems Ltd as a Senior TAS Manager. Academically, qualifications include an MBA in Finance and Economics from Harvard Business School and another MBA in Finance and Strategy from XLRI Jamshedpur, complemented by a BE in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from RV College of Engineering.
