Alonso Ricardo

Alonso Ricardo is an accomplished professional in the field of scientific research and biotechnology, currently serving as Chief Scientific Officer at Mariana Oncology since July 2021 and as Entrepreneur In Residence at RA Capital Management, L.P. since October 2020. Prior to these roles, Alonso held multiple positions at Ra Pharmaceuticals from 2010 to October 2020, including Chief Technology & Innovation Officer, Senior Vice President & Head of Research, and Scientist. Academic credentials include a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Organic Chemistry, Synthetic Biology, Molecular Biology, and Astrobiology from Harvard University, where postdoctoral work was conducted from August 2006 to July 2010. Undergraduate studies were completed at the University of Florida from 2000 to 2004.
