Gavin Zhang

Gavin Zhang has over 20 years of work experience. Gavin started their career in 1999 as an Information Technology Specialist at the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China. Gavin then worked as a System Analyst at AIAIT from 2001 to 2004. In 2005, Gavin joined IBM as a Release Management specialist and later moved on to Objectiva Software Solutions as a Technical Lead in 2007. Gavin returned to IBM in 2008 as a Staff Software Engineer. Gavin then spent several years at ACTIVE Network, first as a Manager of Software Development from 2011 to 2014, then as the Senior Development Manager from 2014 to 2016, and finally as the Director of Software Development from 2016 to 2017. Gavin is currently working as the Director of Software Development at Aspira, a position they have held since October 2017.

Gavin Zhang has a strong educational background in the field of Computer Science. Gavin obtained a Master of Computer Science degree from Northwest University, where they studied from 2005 to 2008. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Computer Science from Xi'an Technological University from 1995 to 1999.

In addition to their academic degrees, Gavin Zhang has also obtained several certifications related to their field. In 2022, they obtained the EXIN DevOps Master certification from EXIN, the EXIN DevOps Foundation certification from EXIN, and the New Product Development Professional (NPDP) certification from PDMA - Product Development and Management Association. Additionally, in 2023, they obtained the Apsara Clouder, Alibaba Cloud Certification from Alibaba Cloud. In 2020, they achieved the PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) certification from the Project Management Institute.
