Ravin Ramnarain has a diverse work experience that spans multiple industries and roles. Starting in 2017, they worked as a Sales Associate at Adidas. In 2018, they became the Co-Chair of Enactus Ryerson, where they oversaw various departments and secured funding for conference operations.
In 2019, Ravin served as a Community Engagement Intern at the Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society (CPAWS) BC. They then worked as an Outreach Specialist at Ryerson Helium, where they researched potential sponsors and secured funding for start-ups and student design teams. Later in 2019, they also worked as a Project Control Coordinator Co-op at GS1 Canada.
In 2020, Ravin joined Magna International as a Process Improvement Co-op, contributing to process enhancement initiatives. During the same year, they founded Toronto Thrive, a community-based project aimed at helping artists earn a sustainable income, and grew it into a team of over 30 full-time students.
Currently, Ravin is a Product Manager at Aspira, where they own the Focus Baseline product and the Hunters Ed Event Management Software, providing service and software solutions to park and conservation agencies.
Ravin Ramnarain began their education journey in 2016, enrolling at Ryerson University. Ravin pursued a field of study in Business/Managerial Economics during their time there, which lasted until 2022. During this period, they acquired additional certifications to enhance their skills and knowledge. In July 2021, Ravin completed a Product Management Course offered by ELVTR. In January 2021, they obtained an overview of UX Design through a course provided by LinkedIn. Continuing to expand their skill set, Ravin completed several courses in data analysis and SQL. From January to April 2022, they obtained certifications in SQL Fundamentals, Intermediate SQL for Data Analysis, APIs and Web Scraping in Python, and Data Analysis in Business Course, all offered by Dataquest.io. Ravin also engaged in community service, earning the Enactus Canada Silver Community Service Leader in 2021. Following their graduation from Ryerson University, Ravin took part in the Venture for Canada Fellowship in Entrepreneurship/Entrepreneurial Studies, which occurred in 2022. Additionally, they obtained a Dataworks Program Certificate from the Ryerson Data Science Association in the same year, further highlighting their commitment to expanding their knowledge and skills in data processing.
