Andres Kõiva

Andres Kõiva has a diverse work experience in various positions and industries. Andres is currently the Co-founder and CEO of raal, a company they helped establish in 2023. Prior to this, Andres worked at Ampler Bikes as the Head of Quality from October 2020 to November 2022. In this role, they built the Quality department from scratch, led a team of process and quality engineers, and managed production processes.

Before joining Ampler Bikes, Andres co-founded and served as the CEO of Lumebot, an autonomous street cleaning service, from January 2019 to February 2021. Their responsibilities included developing go-to-market strategies, as well as product and company roadmaps.

From 2016 to 2019, Andres worked at Elektrilevi in various roles. Andres started as an RTU Specialist, standardizing information from substations for electricity distribution grid operators and configuring RTU devices. Andres then became a Leading Specialist, leading a team of engineers and negotiating framework agreements for purchasing substations. Finally, they served as the Head of Control Systems Division, leading a team of engineers and ensuring accurate information and testing of electrical installations.

Earlier in their career, Andres worked at OÜ Elektroskandia Baltics as an Industry Sales Manager, responsible for key account management and finding technical solutions for customers in the industry sector. Andres also worked as a Sales Engineer at Harju Elekter Estonia from 2012 to 2015, where they composed technical solutions, developed designs for substations, configured and tested relay protection and communication systems, and developed a customer order configurator.

Overall, Andres Kõiva has proven experience in leadership, quality management, product development, strategy, and technical expertise in the electrical industry.

Andres Kõiva completed their Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) in Electrical Power Engineering from TalTech - Tallinn University of Technology from 2009 to 2012. Andres then pursued a Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) in Electrical Drives and Power Electronics from the same university from 2012 to 2014.

In 2022, they are currently pursuing a Master's degree in Analysis and design of information systems from TalTech - Tallinn University of Technology.

Alongside their degrees, Andres has obtained various certifications including the "Cisco Business Architecture Analyst" from Pearson in July 2018, the "ITIL® Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management" from PeopleCert in 2018, and the "NLP Master Practitioner" certification from Eesti NLP instituut in 2018. Andres also holds certifications in "7 Quality Tools for Quality Management and Improvements" from Udemy in 2020 and "NLP Practitioner Certification" from the Estonian NLP Institute in 2017.
