Director Of Product And Lighting Education at RAB Lighting

Benjamin Koyle has a diverse and extensive work experience in the lighting industry. Benjamin started their career as a student at Cal Poly Pomona in 1989 and later pursued further education at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute's Lighting Research Center from 1996 to 1998. In 1998, they joined Lutron Electronics as a Project Electrical Engineer, where they worked until 2004.

After leaving Lutron Electronics, Koyle joined Osram Sylvania as a Technical Training Specialist from 2004 to 2009. During this time, they also served as an Adjunct Professor at the University of New Hampshire from 2005 to 2008. Benjamin then worked as a Researcher at the California Lighting Technology Center from 2009 to 2010.

Koyle's next career move was to OSRAM SYLVANIA, where they served as a LIGHTPOINT Manager from 2010 to 2016. Simultaneously, they took up the role of Illumination Awards Chair at IES Boston/Rhode Island Sections in 2013.

Since 2016, Koyle has been working at RAB Lighting as the Director of Product and Lighting Education, where they currently hold a position.

Benjamin Koyle, CLCP, LC, IES, has a strong educational background in engineering and lighting. Benjamin pursued their Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from 1989 to 1996 at California State Polytechnic University-Pomona. Continuing their education in the field, Benjamin went on to complete their Master of Science degree in Lighting from 1996 to 2001 at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. These educational endeavors have provided him with a solid foundation in both electrical engineering and lighting, equipping him with the knowledge and expertise necessary to excel in their professional career.
