James Morse

James Morse has extensive experience in leadership and management roles. James served as the President and CEO of Rabdan Academy, where they led a team to provide academic and vocational education in safety, security, defense, emergency preparedness, and crisis management. Previously, they were the Assistant Chief of Naval Staff (Capability) in the Royal Navy, responsible for future maritime capabilities and safety and security. James also held positions in the UK Ministry of Defence, including Director General of the UK Defence Academy, Commandant of the Joint Service Command and Staff College, and UK Chief of Defence Staff Liaison Officer to the Chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff. Additionally, they were involved in a major change program as the Project Director for the Navy Command Review in the Royal Navy. In previous roles, they served as Commander of the UK Task Group and Director of Force Development. James also has experience as the Commanding Officer of HMS CHATHAM.

James Morse has a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in International Relations from King's College London, which they obtained in 2007. In the same year, they also attended the Royal College of Defence Studies. Prior to that, Morse earned a BSc (Honours) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Bristol, which they completed from 1982 to 1985. In addition to their degrees, they have obtained certifications such as a Diploma in Company Direction from the Institute of Directors in 2014 and the Certified Director (Distinction) qualification from the same institution in 2013.
