Matthew Cairns is a PhD-educated fixed income strategist specializing in global rates, European SSA, and covered bond markets. They have held several prominent roles, including Vice President at Dresdner Kleinwort / Commerzbank, Senior Economist at Moody’s Corporation, and Senior SSA / Interest Rate Strategist at Rabobank, where they contributed to credit strategy and regulation. Currently, Matthew serves as the Head of Credit Strategy and Regulation after previously holding various strategic roles in leading financial institutions such as UBS Investment Bank and AXA Investment Managers. Their academic foundation includes a PhD in International Economics from the University of Melbourne.
