Jan-Kees Helderman is a Professor in Social Policy and Governance at Faculteit der Managementwetenschappen, Radboud University Nijmegen, since November 2021. Helderman serves as the Chair of the Supervisory Board at OIDOS - Buurtteams Jeugd en Gezin Nijmegen since December 2020 and has held the role of Redactievoorzitter for the journal Bestuurskunde since July 2019. As an Associate Editor for Health Economics, Policy and Law at Cambridge University Press since January 2016, Helderman focuses on furthering academic discourse in health economics. Previously, Helderman was the Vice Dean of Research and the Director of the Institute for Management Research at Radboud University from October 2020. Helderman worked as an Associate Professor in public administration and coordinated Governance and Innovations in Social Services at Radboud University from September 2014 to November 2021. In earlier roles, Helderman contributed to the AedesCode Commissie from November 2010 to August 2014 and was a lecturer at iBMG/iMTA, Erasmus University Rotterdam, from 1998 to 2006. Helderman holds a Master of Science in Spatial Planning from Katholieke Universiteit Nijmegen, earned between 1984 and 1990.
