Tomas Fransson

Tomas Fransson is an experienced professional with a diverse background in project management, finance, and consultancy. Currently serving as Project Manager and Områdeschef at Räddningsmissionen since September 2022, Tomas previously held the role of Finance Director on the Africa Mercy hospital ship with Mercy Ships from September 2021 to September 2022. Prior to that, Tomas was the National Director for Mercy Ships Sweden from January 2017 to July 2021. Tomas created Tomas Fransson Consulting, where services were offered as a Business Consultant from December 2015 to December 2016. A long tenure with Volvo Group from August 2004 to December 2015 included positions such as Business Consultant, Director of Global Functional Management, Senior Project Manager, and General Manager of Volvo IT China. Earlier career experience includes serving as CIO at Volvo Bus Corporation from January 2001 to August 2004. Educational qualifications include a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Gothenburg, achieved between 2010 and 2012.
