Austin Monell

Austin Monell is currently a Senior Project: Flight Dynamics Lead at the University of Colorado Boulder, working on a ground-gen airborne wind energy system. Austin also works part-time as a Flight Sciences Engineer at Radia, Inc., where Austin focuses on simulation and control law analysis tools. In the past, Austin has interned at various companies such as Advanced Shooting Analytics, Eastern Point Yacht Club, and MIT AeroAstro. Austin has a strong background in aerospace engineering and has presented at the AWEC 2024 conference for their work on predictive control and trajectory optimization for an Airborne Wind Energy System.
