S. Pelin Kefel

S. Pelin Kefel has a diverse range of work experience in the field of image processing and computer vision. S. Pelin is currently employed as a Senior Image Processing Engineer at Radiant Vision Systems since June 2018. Prior to this, they worked as a Data Scientist Consultant at Kiran Analytics, A Verint Company from September 2017 to May 2018, where they were involved in a project related to optimizing the working hours of retail bank branches.

Before that, Pelin worked as an Image Processing and Software Engineer at Relimetrics, Inc. from January 2017 to September 2017. Their responsibilities included developing a smart camera system for defect detection in factory assembly lines. S. Pelin worked with clients such as Daimler AG, Mann+Hummel, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, and SpaceX.

Pelin also gained experience as an Image Processing Engineer at Bio-X Consulting/Technologies, Inc. from 2013 to 2017. Their work involved analyzing images taken from cosmetic clinical trials and wound closure techniques.

Additionally, Pelin has teaching experience as an Instructor, Lab Assistant, and Teaching Assistant at Southern Illinois University from August 2008 to April 2014 and at Cankaya University from September 2005 to June 2008. S. Pelin conducted research and development in medical image processing and was involved in the development of a computer vision and image processing toolbox at Southern Illinois University.

Furthermore, Pelin has completed internships at the University of California, Riverside, and Aselsan in 2004 and at Aselsan again in 2003, respectively.

S. Pelin Kefel pursued their education in the field of engineering and image processing. S. Pelin completed their Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Çankaya Üniversitesi in the years 2001 to 2005. S. Pelin then proceeded to obtain a Master of Science degree in Image Processing, Computer Graphics, and Security Camera Surveillance from the same institution, which they completed between 2005 and 2008. Continuing their academic journey, they pursued a Ph.D in Computer Engineering with a specialization in Image Processing at Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, from 2008 to 2013.
