Tan Tran has extensive experience in the field of mechanical engineering, with a focus on opto-mechanical engineering. Tan has held various roles in different companies, starting with their current position as a Senior Mechanical Engineer at Radiant Vision Systems since June 2021.

From November 2011 to November 2015, Tan worked as a ME Design Verification Engineer at Microsoft. Tan was responsible for leading innovative ideas and design, including thermal, structural, and testing, for the Xbox division. Tan verified designs compliant with Microsoft Xbox standards and presented test results and analysis to the management team.
Earlier in their career, Tan worked as a Senior Design Engineer at Plastic Composites from August 2008 to May 2009. Tan designed ambulance interiors and fixtures using SolidWorks and conducted tests and analyzed data for the interior. Tan also prepared written proposals, progress reports, and final reports.
Prior to that, Tan served as a Metallurgical Lab Tech at International Truck and Engine Corporation in 2004-2005. Tan developed writing specifications for various materials and performed a range of testing, including Tensile Testing, Shear Strength Testing, and Creep Testing.
In 2003-2004, Tan worked as an Electrical Engineering Tech Intern at International Truck and Engine Corporation.
