Nick Ditmore

Creative Director at Radical Candor

As creative director for Radical Candor, Nick Ditmore is passionate about the humanist parallels between great design and team leadership. His passion for solving complex problems and humanizing technology has been the foundation of a 22-year award-winning career in design, creative direction and product development in industries ranging from fashion to publishing to enterprise software. Nick is also currently an Entrepreneur in Residence at Zeno Ventures, where he advises partners and investments.

Most recently, Nick led the UX team of 25+ ambitious designers and researchers for Infor Retail, a revolutionary retail ERP software suite built in close collaboration with major retailers like Whole Foods, Walgreens, Target, Home Depot and Lululemon. In addition to a design career that has never adhered to a particular industry or medium, Nick has co-founded many companies over his career, including three not-for-profits.

As a co-founder of Restore Redhook, Nick helped save over 70 retail businesses after Hurricane Sandy hit his local neighborhood of Red Hook, Brooklyn. He also co-founded and led the Times Square Art Square Foundation, working to replace ads in Times Square with art. After a successful Kickstarter and meetings with key organizations and city officials, the city established Times Square Arts and the Midnight Moment.

A Southern California native, Nick now lives in Oakland after 12 years in NYC and before that, Tokyo. When he’s not solving problems for products and teams, he can be found outside rock climbing, long-distance cycling or woodworking.
