Dominic Barton serves as the Chairman of LeapFrog Investments and Rio Tinto and holds the position of Chancellor at the University of Waterloo until June 2024. Previously, Dominic Barton acted as the Ambassador of Canada to the People’s Republic of China from 2019 to 2021 and spent 18 years at McKinsey & Company, culminating in roles as Global Managing Partner Emeritus, Global Managing Partner, Asia Chairman, and Managing Partner of the Korean Office. Dominic Barton graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from The University of British Columbia and obtained a Master’s Degree in Economics as a Rhodes Scholar from the University of Oxford.
