Carlos Barrocas

Carlos Barrocas is an accomplished engineering and technology professional with over 30 years of experience across various leadership roles. Currently serving as the Director of Engineering, Systems and Technology and the Director of Production at RTP since June 2015, Carlos has previously held the position of Chairman and CEO at Sociedade Instaladora de Mercados Abastecedores (SIMAB) from May 2012 to June 2015. Additional experience includes roles as Director of Planning and Development at RTP, Consultant at The Boston Consulting Group, and Director of Professional Services at Compaq. Carlos holds a Master’s degree in Electronics and Computers Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico, along with MBA degrees in Marketing and Information Technology from Católica Lisbon School of Business and Economics. Further professional development includes an Executive E-business course at Babson College. Carlos has also contributed to the creative industry sector in Northern Portugal as a Board Member at the Agência para o Desenvolvimento das Indústrias Criativas.
